Description

Dimensions - Length 700cm, Width 350cm.
Plan Form - Rectangular.
Built into slopes of hill leading up to Waddesdon Manor. Unusual plan, approx rectangular with tall entrance portal middle of s (long) side. Rendered brick, cement slab roof. Interior not investigated due to dangerous condition (entrance is sealed)(B1).
Grade II. Ice-house. Circa 1880. Brick, the mound above dotted with picturesque man-made outcrops of rock. Entrance has arched double doors with rustic decoration of small split branches, set in an artificial cavern of similar rocks. Interior not seen (B2).
Survives as described (B3).
