GT HORWOOD WINDMILL ADVERTISED IN 1840 AS BEING SUBSTANTIALLY BUILT, DRIVING 2 PAIRS OF STONES & AS HAVING BEEN RECENTLY RENOVATED. READVERTISED IN 1843; SEEMS TO HAVE BEEN RE-ERECTED ON WINSLOW ROAD (SEE CASS 0787)(BI2). TITHE MAP, 1842 HAS 'WINDMILL' & LAND AT NGR(BI1). NO SIGN OF MOUND HERE(BI3)
