Description

SECTION DUG ACROSS NW BOUNDARY OF S PART OF ENCLOSURE. DITCH HAD STEEP SIDES AND ROUNDED BOTTOM WITH A BANK ON EITHER SIDE. BANKS SEALED OLD LAND SURFACE SUGGESTING PRE-ENCLOSURE CULTIVATION. PROBABLE 1ST CENT AD DATE CANNOT YET BE EXTENDED TO OTHER ENCLOSURES. POTTERY, SEE 03:002 (B1).
