LAURENCE DE BROC DIED 1275 SEISED OF PAYNES MILL, CHESHAM, LEASED TO MISSENDEN ABBEY FOR 15 SHILLINGS. IN 1286 THE BROCS' ESTATE COMPRISED A FULLING & CORN-MILL & IN 1322 HALF A WATERMILL (B1). CHARTER RE MISSENDEN ABBEY'S OTHER MILL AT CHESHAM, C 1166 (SEE ALSO CASS 01914)(B2).
