Description

PART OF A PAPAL BULLA, MUCH DAMAGED. LETTERS 'HO T1VSIII' VISIBLE ON 1 SIDE AND 'SPA' AND A CROSS ON OTHER. POSSIBLY A BULLA OF HONORIUS III, POPE 1216-1227. (PHOTO). FOUND BY DAVE SHELLEY, IN A FIELD APPROX AT NGR, TOGETHER WITH 3 JETTONS AND 6 C17-C18 TOKENS (B1).

SP 798 215. Part of a lead papal bulla, probably of Pope Honorius III (1216-27), was found at this location by Mr DG Shelley (B2).
