1788, 1822, 1839 & 1877/85 'IRON BEECH KILN' (OR IRON BEACH) MARKED AT NGR (BI1-4). NO INDICATION WORKING 1839 (BI3). NO DOCUMENTARY EVIDENCE OF WHAT WAS BEING MADE - BRICK & FILE FINDS SUGGEST BRICKWORKS. C17/18 COTTAGE ON SITE, LARGISH PIT ACROSS THE ROAD (BI5). PHOTO OF COTTAGE FILED.
