PRE-1066 BELONGED TO KING HAROLD. THEN TO CROWN. 1162-1180 BELONGED TO HONOUR OF GIFFARD BUT 1164, ON DEATH OF EARL REVERTED TO CROWN. HENRY III GRANTS TO RICHARD, EARL OF CORNWALL. 1300 REVERTS TO CROWN. 1344 BLACK PRINCE: HENCE NAME. KING'S & ABBOTS MANORS HELD TOGETHER FROM 1675 (B9).
