Description

1346-1365: 52 REFS TO PRINCE'S MANOR AT RISBOROUGH IN REGISTER OF EDWARD THE BLACK PRINCE. TRADITIONALLY PALACE WITHIN MOAT AT THE MOUNT, CLAIMS THAT EXCAVATION PROVED THIS. MEDIEVAL OCCUPATION REVEALED (B5-8).
COUNTER CLAIM BY MR WISE THAT SITE IS A SAXON CAMP (B9).
