185 SHERDS FROM IRON AGE CONTEXTS & 179 FROM RESIDUAL. FORM & DECORATIVE TECHNIQUES PLACE THESE IN THE CHILTERN IRON AGE POTTERY SERIES, SEEN AS DATING MID C6 - C3 BC. THERE WERE ALSO 339 SHERDS IN A FABRIC INDISTINGUISHABLE FROM EARLY SAXON TYPES (4 991.00.003). (POTTERY REPORT IN B1, PP14-16.)
