Description
DURING SYSTEMATIC FIELD WALKING VARIOUS FINDS MADE (00:001-9) WHICH SUGGESTS A DISPERSED MULTI-PERIOD SPREAD, EXCEPT THAT STRIP 11 MAY REPRESENT A LATE NEOLITHIC/EARLY BRONZE AGE SITE. FIELD WAS DIVIDED INTO 14 STRIPS (SEE MAP FILED). FIELDWALKING BY CMAG 8 MARCH 1981 (B1).
Thirteen Mesolithic blades, a polished Neolithic axe fragment and a transverse arrowhead, 104 flakes, 5 scrapers of Mesolithic-Bronze Age date, and a barbed-and-tanged arrowhead were found during fieldwalking centred on SP76381169 (B3).
