TAPERING, WITH HINT OF WAIST. CURVED, SNAPPED AT RIVET HOLES. SLIGHT PER-IMETER GROOVE. ZOOMORPHIC. 2 CIRCULAR HOLLOWS AT TIP & RECESSED TRIANGULAR AREA ABOVE EYES. POSSIBLE EAR (1 MISSING) & SNOUT. REAR IS PLAIN. VERY SIMILAR TO 1 FROM YOULGRAVE (WILSON: LATE SAXON METALWORK PL42, NO.136). DATED TO C9 AD (B1)
