PRE-CONQUEST ALMER HELD 7 HIDES OF LAND IN HOGGESTON AS 1 MANOR. A MAN OF ABBESS OF BARKING HELD 1 HIDE & EDDEVA'S MAN 2.5 VIRGATES. BY 1086 THESE CONSOLIDATED HOLDINGS WERE HELD OF WM FITZ ANSCULF DE PICQUIGNY/PINKNEY (FULL MANORIAL HISTORY)(B2).
