Description

LITTLE DETAIL FROM EARLIER EXCAVATIONS. 1954: LITTLE STRATIFIED POTTERY FOUND. EARLIEST DATABLE IS SAMIAN OF HADRIANIC-ANTONINE TYPE. OXFORDSHIRE KILNS ACCOUNT FOR MUCH OF THE POTTERY (B8). POTTERY, INCLUDING SAMIAN, COLLECTED BY R WATTS AFTER HARTLEY'S EXCAVATION, FROM SIDE OF TRENCH (B13).
