Description

Plan Form - Subcircular.
'Limekilns' (X2) on 1881 map (B2).
Trade directories 1876-1903 refer to lime burning (B3).
Remains of 2 brick built lime kilns survive in W face of old quarry. Much limestone is visible in the area (B4).
The 2 lime kins totally excavated. Flue arches of both & part of brick lining of pot survive & relining (B5).
