A CONICAL DEPRESSION WITH A SHAFT AT ITS BOTTOM (B1, NOTE 1).
SHAFT IS AT BOTTOM OF QUARRY PERHAPS A CHALK WELL THOUGH CHALK IN VICINITY ON GROUND SURFACE. FEATURE COULD ALSO BE NATURAL, PERHAPS A SWALLOW HOLE. OTHER QUARRYING IN WOOD (B1, NOTE 2).
