Description
RB SHERDS, FOUND ALONG COURSE OF OIL PIPELINE. LOCAL FARMER HAD NO KNOWLEDGE OF FINDS (B1). BCM ACCESSIONS REGISTER NOTES 47 RB SHERDS, INCLUDING MOSTLY COARSE RED WARES & COARSE GREY/WHITE WARES. MANY RIM SHERDS & 3 BASES.FROM WING, EXACT FINDSPOT UNKNOWN - FROM THIS SITE? BUT SEE ALSO CASS 4848 (B2).
SP 872 230 Romano-British sherds found by C W Green (B3).
The finds were made along the course of an oil pipeline laid in 1967 but the local farmer had no knowledge of the finds (B4).
