Description

MOAT WHICH ONCE SURROUNDED CHURCH FARM HAS ONLY BEEN FILLED IN WITHIN RECENT MEMORY (PLAN) (B3).
NO EVIDENCE THAT WATER FEATURE TO W & N OF CHURCH FARM ONCE FORMED PART OF SURROUNDING MOAT (B1).
A distinct depression in the lawn to the south of the house noted during evaluation trial trenching carried out in November 2008 by AS&C. Possibly the remains of a backfilled arm of the moat? See report plate 1 (B15).
