CAVITY IN GARDEN, REPORTED BY THE LATE MR RIXON (ECKLES' FATHER-IN-LAW): 2-3YDS ACROSS, 50FT DEEP. NOT EXPLORED. SAID TO BE A TUNNEL CONNECTING FURTHER DOWN HILL. UNSUCCESSFUL ATTEMPTS TO INFILL INCLUDING DUMPING OF DEAD CIRCUS LION. 15FT OF DRIFT OVER CHALK - TYPICAL FOR CHALK WELL (B1).
