3 SHAFTS, 10FT DEEP, SUNK INTO CHALK. SMALL TUNNEL FOUND, C3FT HIGH, 3FT WIDE, 7FT FROM SURFACE; LENGTH C.50FT. ALSO A TRENCH C.30FT LONG, 4FT WIDE, 2FT DEEP CUT INTO UNDISTURBED CHALK (SKETCH PLAN & SECTION, CAS FILE (B1).
