A WELL COVERED BY A CONCRETE SLAB. LOCAL INFORMATION SAYS IT IS 140FT DEEP & OPENED OUT INTO A BELL SHAPE. UNLIKELY TO BE 1 OF THE SHAFTS MARKED ON 1899 OS MAP BUT WAS POSSIBLY DUG TO SERVE DORNEYWOOD VILLAS ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE ROAD, BUILT IN THE EARLY C20 (B3).
