DESCENT ARRANGED: SHAFT C.17M DEEP & C.2M DIAM. C.5.8M BELOW GROUND IT BELLED OUT INTO HUGE CONICAL CHAMBER. 5 SHORT TUNNELS C.3.5M BRANCHED OFF. WHEEL- MARKS OF BARROWS USED. CHALK FOR ROADS & MANURING (B5-6).
