Description

Plan Form - Semicircular.
Over the front door of each semi-detached cottage is a painted terracotta lunette depicting 1 of the 12 months of the agricultural year. Glazed ware made at Marlow Common in craftsman tile works (B1-3).
Tympana illustrate labours of the months: No.1 showing gathering of firewood (January), No.2 showing a shepherd and his sheep (February), No. 3 showing threshing with a flail (March), No. 4 sowing (April), No.5 showing yoked horses harrowing (May), No.6 showing the corn harvest (June), No.7 showing hay-making (July), No.8 gleaning (August), No.9 showing the apple harvest (September), No.10 showing milking (October), No. 11 showing ploughing (November) and No. 12 digging (December) (B2).
