Description
QUANTITY OF ROMAN POTTERY FOUND IN GARDEN OF BEC HOUSE IN 1960'S & 1970'S. OVERALL THE POTTERY FORMS A NORMAL C1-C4 GROUP INDICATIVE OF SETTLEMENT (B1,3). 1960'S FINDS GIVEN TO BCM (B2).
Apart from the established RB finds at Bledlow (see SP 70 SE 17, 18, 19, 26 & 35) there have been continuous finds of Roman tile and pottery, particularly in the garden area at Church End. Mr M Farley (b2) confirms the area, centred SP 777021, as an RB settlement B8).
