A pill shaped ditched enclosure of uncertain date and function is visible on historic aerial photographs as an earthwork and was mapped as part of the Aylesbury Vale Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18604). Located in a field about 650 metres NNE of Haydon Hill Farm and centred at SP 79728 14670, is a pill-shaped ditch between 1.5 and 3.5 metres wide, with two long parallel sides spaced 34.5 metres apart with the enclosure ends rounded, being 96 metres at its longest. That this feature is visible in a field as an earthwork on aerial photographs taken in 1947 suggests a probable medieval and/or post medieval origin. It is possible that this is associated with the English Civil War actions around Aylesbury and a nearby civil war breastwork. It may also represent the remains of a post medieval tree enclosure ditch. On aerial photographs taken in 1986, the site is no longer visible, by then being occupied by a residential housing estate (2-3).
