Plan Form - RECTILINEAR
PART OF LARGE RECTANGULAR ENCLOSURE WITH INTERNAL DIVISION IN N THIRD, VISIBLE AS CROPMARK ON AP (B1,B7).
PLOTTED AT 1:2500 (PAPER-STRIP METHOD)(B2).
NOTHING VISIBLE ON GROUND: FIELD UNDER WINTER WHEAT AT TIME OF VISIT (B3).
BOUNDARY CORRESPONDS TO FIELD BOUNDARIES ON BOVENEY TITHE MAP (B4).
Medieval and/or Post Medieval settlement remains visible as cropmarks, associated with the Medieval/Post Medieval settlement at Boveney. Three conjoined enclosures, measuring 45m by 30m, may be the remains of tofts and are situated to the west of houses in the modern village (B5-6).
