Description

THE OLD HOUSE AT DANESFIELD, OCCUPIED BY JUSTICE MORTON IN THE LATER C18 WAS ORIGINALLY A FARMHOUSE NAMED MEDLICOTTS. ROBERT SCOTT CHANGED THE NAME TO DANESFIELD & IT WAS REBUILT IN EARLY C19. IT STOOD ON A SITE FURTHER REMOVED FROM THE RIVER THAN PRESENT HOUSE (B1).
