Description
CLAY PIPE FRAGMENTS FOUND DURING CONVERSION WORK IN HOUSES, CASTLE STREET. BRICK FLUE POSSIBLY, BUT NOT CERTAINLY, ASSOCIATED (B1).
MATERIAL INCLUDED WASTERS. SMALL EXCAVATION CARRIED OUT; PROBABLE STOKE HOLE OF KILN FOUND, CONTAINING PIECES OF MUFFLE (B2).
FINDSPOT- 13 CASTLE STREET (NGR) (B1).
Probably two kins, represented by brick-built flues and stokeholes, originally located outside rear wall of 17th century timber-framed building but now inside later building extensions. See report for detail (B4).
