Description
FOUND DURING DIGGING OF WATER-MAIN BY MR HUGHES - C2FT DEEP AT BASE OF TOPSOIL ABOVE CLAY. FEW RB SHERDS & SHERDS IN SOAPY FABRIC. LATTER MAY BE BELGIC - BELGIC BRICK SIMILAR TO THAT FROM BIERTON EXCAVATIONS ALSO RECOVERED. A FEW YDS FROM POT, DARK PEATY DEPOSIT CONTAINING RED PATCHES BUT NO FINDS (B1).
A scatter of Middle Iron Age pottery was found at SP70060883 (B2).
