Description
Dimensions - Width 6m, Length 6m.
Timber-framed with brick filling, and probably of the 17th century; it was lengthened at a later date and a large tank was built in the floor. The roof has original king-post trusses and cambered tie-beams with curved braces. The turning post, formerly worked by a horse, is fixed to the trusses, and has a double- grooved drum at the top for the, chains (B1-4).
Contains well with horse wheel [CAS 0437401000], machinery now destroyed. Well house belonged to Rectory but disused in 19th century (B2).
Lies 130m NE from the Rectory, and converted to a private house by 1978.
