Description
Dimensions - Height 120cm.
Plan Form - Octagonal.
The octagonal base and part of the stem of a Medieval churchyard cross in St Nicholas' churchyard (B4).
This cross is situated to the south of the church at NGR. It comrises a square (not octagonal) base 0.6m square and 0.3m high holding a portion of the shaft 0.9m high. Surveyed at 1:2,500 (B5).
Grade II. Churchyard cross shaft remains on base. C14. Stone. Octagonal stem with broach stops. Octagonal chamfered base. RCHM I.p.87. MON.1 (PART) B6).
