A probable post medieval windmill mound is visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data and was mapped as part of the Aylesbury Vale Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18604). Located in a field corner about 440 metres SW of Fieldside Farm and centred at SP 73378 19699, a roughly circular mound is about 25 metres in diameter. The 1813 Ordnance Surveyors Drawings shows a circular earthwork feature set in an open field at that location. On recent remote sensing data, the mound appears to have slumped and spread to a more subcircular shape. The field boundary in which corner the mound is now located is very late 19th century in origin, which may account for the change in form (4-6).
