MENTION OF MILLS AT SWANBOURNE IN C13 AND C14. A WINDMILL WAS LATER THE PROPERTY OF DEVERELL FAMILY AND LEFT IN WILLIAM DEVERELL'S WILL, 5 JULY 1559, TO HIS SON AUGUSTINE. AT CLOSE OF C16 JOHN DEVERELL BEQUEATHED 'THE NEW WINDMILL' TO HIS SON (B2).
