A WINDMILL MENTIONED AMONG APPURTENANCES OF CHEARSLEY MANOR IN 1296 AND IN LATER INQUISITIONS. DEED OF 1822 MENTIONS 2 WINDMILLS HERE (BI1). SCATTERED TILE AND STONE DEBRIS AROUND A CURIOUS WOODEN POST FOUND BY MR.TED HOOTON, 1984. POSSIBLE SITE OF PRE-1805 WINDMILL (BI2)
