Description
About twenty sherds of Romano-British pottery, of second - fourth century date, were found during fieldwalking by Mrs. S. Gill and Mrs. D. Waterton. (39.78)(B5).
Field scatter. RB: mortaria, 1 white ware, C2; 1 orange with white wash & pink grits, Oxford ware C4. Colour coat, 1 beaker rim; 1 applied sherd. 2 pie dish, C3. Shell grit, 2 rims, 1 pie dish, 1 jar. 1 Samian piece. Flagon rim, beaker base, 12 misc sherds. Medieval: 24 sherds & post-medieval (B1).
