Description
GRADE II. PUMPING STATION. 1838-41. BROWN BRICK, HIPPED SLATE ROOF. 1 STOREY. WALL FACING CANAL HAS DOUBLE BOARD DOORS IN OPENING WITH SEMI-CIRCULAR WHITE BRICK ARCH. RIGHT SIDE HAS CENTRAL ARCHED WINDOW, NOW BOARDED UP. LEFT SIDE HAS SIMILAR WINDOW & LOW BLOCKED ARCH NEAR FAR END. MACHINERY MISSING (B7).
AVDC Conservation team notes that the pumping station has an electric pump to the front right-hand side. The window frames are cast-iron lattice work.
