Description

Grade II. Former pumping station, now shed. Circa 1838-41 altered. Brown brick, off-set and boarded eaves, hipped slate roof. Front to canal has door and 2 upper C20 barred wooden casements, all with cambered heads. Included for group value (B7).
The earlier beam engine house which stood a little to the south of the pumping house has been demolished. Recorded for CBA National Record of Industrial Monuments project. Photographed (B3).
