Description

Sunken ways & possible village earthworks visible on aerial photo (B3).
Field visit: wide hollow way defines area of shrinkage to E of Lower Farm, beyond which good ridge & furrow survives. S of farm a hollow way runs due S. A number of smaller hollow ways within main area (B4).
Aerial photographs taken in 1996 reveal additional earthworks (B13).

A medieval shrunken settlement is visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as earthworks and was mapped as part of the Aylesbury Vale Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18604).
