FIRST REF TO MILL 1260. RICHARD, KING OF ROMANS GAVE TO BURNHAM ABBEY, DESCRIBED IN FOUNDATION CHARTER AS MILL, FISHERY & LANDS WHICH WERE JOHN DE BOVENEY'S. 1578 DESCRIBED AS 'FORMER MILL' & NO MENTION IN 1579 FISHERY GRANT (B1).
EVIDENCE THAT WEST MILL WAS AT LAKE END. SIGN OF FORMER POND (B2).
